Area Planner

Location Mansfield OHCleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for an Area Planner at its Mansfield Ohio facility. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory records of spare part inventories expedite the procurement andor repair processes for parts required to maintain or repair machinery and equipment.Summary of ResponsibilitiesEvaluates part requirement for emergency repair or maintenance operationsMaintain parts file for department records and replacement spare parts establish stocking levels of spare partsMaintains mechanical drawing filesMaintains computerized preventive predictive maintenance programResponsible for preventive and predictive maintenance orders and receiving purchase ordersConduct safety and quality audit observations inspections within the department to detect existing or potential accident hazards or quality defects.Assist in the development review and update of JSHAs Job Safety and Health Analysis to eliminate safety hazardsOther duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsTwo-year Associate Degree or equivalent educationMechanical andor Electrical knowledgeAbility to process a high volume of work in a timely mannerRequires willingness and ability to work various hours weekends and independentlyExcellent computer communication initiative organizational analytical and customer service skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in steelmaking or metals manufacturing.Experience in a union environment.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer withfocuson value-added sheet products particularly for the automotive industry.
