Description
Position: Area Production Manager
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio area
The Area Production Manager oversees manufacturing operations, Production Supervisors, and production schedules across the plant. Key duties include optimizing Production, employee Safety, Food Safety and Quality, and Continuous Improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Engineering, or Business.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing multiple Production Lines and Shifts in a high-volume Food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory requirements, including FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, BRC, SQF and OSHA standards.
Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, 8D, GEMBA walks.
Experience in highly Automated manufacturing environments with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Ability to drive operational performance through KPI management, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multi-line, multi-shift Production operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and Productivity objectives.
Drive key manufacturing KPIs including: OEE, Throughput, Labor Efficiency, Yield, Downtime Reduction, Schedule Adherence, and Cost Per Unit.
Ensure Compliance with Food Safety, Quality, Regulatory, and Workplace safety standards while supporting Audits and Inspections.
Develop, coach, and lead production teams through training, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement Continuous Improvement projects, Capital Investments, and New Product launches.
