Title of Position: Area Director of Sales

Job Responsibilities: The Area Director of Sales' main responsibility is to develop and solicit group and catering business from various markets to meet the hotel's revenue goals. They supervise the Sales and Events department and oversee the hotel's marketing initiatives. They work closely with the Revenue Management team to maximize revenue opportunities and produce reports and sales forecasts that reflect current and potential business opportunities. As member of the hotel's leadership committee, they participate in meetings to discuss upcoming events, budget planning, and general operations. The success of the Area Director of Sales depends on their ability to collaborate effectively with other members of the hotel's leadership team, while demonstrating strong sales and marketing skills to drive revenue growth. Their efforts are crucial in ensuring that the hotel meets its group revenue goals and provides guests with exceptional experiences.

Qualifications:

• The Area Director of Sales must create, plan, and implement the marketing and sales strategy for the organization in accordance with the overall business strategy and objectives.

• The Area Director of Sales must develop and implement sales selling cycle and methodology based on market research and competitor analyses

• Maintaining key customer relationships while developing and implementing strategies for expanding the company's customer base, is a must for the Area Director of Sales

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred for the Area Director of Sales

• An Area Director of Sales must have proven sales experience of 3+ years
