Job Skills / Requirements
Armed Security Officer - Jefferson, OH
- Employment Type: Full-time, school-year position
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
- Pay: $19.36 per hour
- Time Off: Summers off
- Required Certification: Valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Certification
Main Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle
- Monitor for and report suspicious activity
- Respond to incidents according to policies and use-of-force guidelines
- Complete incident reports and daily activity reports (DARs)
- Enforce site and client policies
- Provide customer service and access-control support
- Follow site-specific emergency procedures
Required Qualifications
- Current OPOTA Armed Certification
- Personal firearm, Level II or higher retention holster, and duty belt
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong report-writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience
- Military background
- Criminal justice or public safety education
- Clean driving record (if driving is required)
