Job Description
Armed Security Guard – Residential Property (Hempstead, NY)
Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts
Global Investigations & Asset Protection Inc. is seeking experienced and professional Armed Security Guards to provide security services at a residential housing community in Hempstead, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional security presence and promote a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff
- Conduct scheduled patrols and document activities using the DTEC reporting system
- Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed incident and activity reports
- Monitor building access points and visitor entry procedures
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, disturbances, and security-related incidents
- Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Communicate effectively with management, residents, and emergency responders when necessary
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Armed Security Guard License
- Valid Concealed Carry Certification
- Prior experience in residential security, building security, law enforcement, military, or armed security operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare professional reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Dependable, professional, and capable of exercising sound judgment
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform patrol duties for extended periods
- Must be available to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Independent Contractor Information:
- This position is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor role.
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and applicable business expenses.
- Must maintain all required licenses and certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.
