Armed Security Guard

Overview

Chenega is seeking experienced Armed Security Guards to support security operations at the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). This armed security role is responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, and government property while ensuring compliance with security procedures and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Protect government personnel, facilities, property, and equipment by enforcing security procedures, post orders, and government regulations.
• Perform armed security duties including access control, patrols, traffic control, facility inspections, and package screening.
• Respond to unusual, emergency, and security-related incidents, including exercising force when authorized and necessary.
• Maintain professional communication with supervisors, government personnel, visitors, and the public while providing escort services as required.
• Operate and communicate effectively through radio, telephone, and written reporting methods in accordance with assigned orders.
• Maintain readiness by reporting in proper uniform, carrying required equipment, and working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum two (2) years of security, law enforcement, military police, or related security experience.
• Must successfully pass all required background investigations, including a Personal Security Background Check and NCIC Check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain and maintain all required permits, licenses, certifications, and training requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
