What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry control procedures for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and policy-related concerns, and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
