As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Responder in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this armed role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative workplace.

Pay Rate: $25.93 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and following post orders for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Maintain assigned duty gear and authorized firearm in accordance with site policies, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws while supporting a professional on-site presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas only.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
