Armed Security Officer

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, and the public. You will perform general security duties while upholding DSI and client-specific post instructions and safety standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols
• Observe, report, and respond to safety hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
• Enforce client and DSI policies, procedures, and post instructions
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
• Participate in required training and comply with DSI safety policies and manuals

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Florida driver’s license (required)
• Reliable transportation and means of communication
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions
• Must pass all required background checks, motor vehicle screening, and drug screening

Certification Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license
• Valid Florida Class D License
• Valid Florida Class G License
