Armed Security Officer10-MONTH, FULL TIME POSITIONRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; valid New Jersey driver's license; personal vehicle.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in law enforcement, school security, and/or public safety for a minimum of five (5) years, or as determined by the Board.
• Knowledge of security measures, fire protection, and crowd control. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate.
• Must be able to use technology efficiently, such as a computer, two-way radio, video monitors, door entry systems, electronic surveillance equipment, and other devices selected by the district to be part of the school security system.
• Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.
• Proof of firearm license and concealed carry permit.
• Provide evidence that a criminal history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the New Jersey Department of Education.
