As a Armed Security Officer Part Time Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $42.24 / Hour

DayTimeFri08:45 AM - 05:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, financial location policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining readiness to address security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report unusual behavior, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
• Complete required reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily observations, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
