Pacific Security is looking for Armed Security Officers. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring client sites are monitored, protected, and secure in accordance with Post Orders by establishing a security presence and safely carrying a firearm. Armed Security Officers observe and report incidents at client sites. This position reports to the Field Supervisor as their primary contact.
We are seeking people with excellent time-management skills, an ability to be active outdoors for long periods of time (regardless of the weather conditions) and a positive attitude.

Essential Functions:
• Read and understand Post Orders when assigned to a site.
• Arrive at client site on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
• If safe to do so, deescalate confrontational situations with members of the public, customers, or patrons of the site assigned. Participate in MOAB training when offered.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting building, equipment, and access points; permit entry into site as necessary.
• Perform security checks on all exits, doors, and windows.
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
• Submit daily activity reports and incidents, as necessary.
• Respond to emergencies by calling 911.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and patrons.
• Monitor and control entrance and departure of employees and visitors according to post orders.
• Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security.
• Report rule infractions and violations.
• Use radio or other communication devices in a clear and concise manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Professionally handle firearm(s) on sites in compliance with Washington State Law
• Must maintain a working cellphone and current email address during employment
• Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 25+ years of age.
• Must be trained to operate a firearm and demonstrate firearm safety at all times.
• Already hold an active Armed Security Guard certificate through the CJTC and willing to transfer it.
• Pass a Department of Licensing background check.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Effectively communicate, both spoken and written.
• Thorough and detail-oriented, with keen observation skills.
• React appropriately in emergency and high stress situations.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Pass a criminal background check.
