Reporting to the Director of Education or Program Chair, facilitate student learning toward the achievement of course and program learning outcomes. Teach, inspire, motivate, guide, support, and help students in courses and program. Continually improve instructional and professional skills. Update materials in support of SAE courses. Set high expectations for quality of work and raise the bar each time the course runs. Ensure that each student completes coursework that achieves the goal of the class and is done with quality and attention to detail. Comply fully with all policies, practices, and procedures of SAE Institute as outlined in the faculty handbook, catalog, procedures manuals, and faculty assignment agreement. This is a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor position with an on going contract renewal as needed.

Education:
For General Education courses: A minimum of a masters degree with 18 semester credits or 24 quarter credits in the area of the course(s) assigned to teach. For example, an instructor teaching College Mathematics could have a masters degree in Environmental Science but would be qualified to teach College Mathematics if they have 18 graduate-level semester credits in Mathematics.
For program courses toward a Diploma or Associates Degree:
A minimum of a bachelors degree; if the bachelors degree is not in the field that the instructor is teaching in, the instructor must also hold a credential in the field at or above the level of the program theyre teaching in.
A minimum of 4 years of industry experience since the completion of the qualifying degree
In rare cases, an adjunct faculty member who does not hold a bachelors degree but has extensive and significant work experience may be granted a temporary exception by the Chief Academic and Compliance Officer, with the expectation of regular demonstrated evidence of satisfactory progress toward completion of a bachelors degree during the approved exception period.

Modern & Contemporary Art History Instructor Additional Information:
This is a campus position based in Nashville, TN. Candidates must be located in the greater Nashville area and available to work on-site at our campus at least one day per week (no exceptions).
