Art Teacher

St. Francis de Sales Parish School is seeking a creative, faith-filled, and student-centered Part-Time Art Teacher (50%) to join our school community for the upcoming school year.

We are seeking an educator who will inspire students through the visual arts while fostering creativity, confidence, and an appreciation for beauty and self-expression.

Position Overview

The Part-Time Art Teacher will provide engaging art instruction for students in grades Preschool through 8th Grade. The ideal candidate will create a positive and welcoming classroom environment while integrating creativity, collaboration, and Catholic values into the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons for students in Preschool-8th Grade
• Foster creativity and artistic exploration through a variety of media and techniques
• Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging art classroom environment
• Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school and community
• Collaborate positively with faculty, staff, and families
• Support the mission and values of Catholic education
• Participate in school events and activities as appropriate

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree, preferably in Art Education or a related field, or currently working toward obtaining a bachelor''s degree
• Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain licensure) preferred
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Practicing Catholic preferred, but all qualified candidates committed to supporting the Catholic mission are encouraged to apply
