The Unified School District of Antigo (USDA) is looking for a creative, collaborative, and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Instruction & Collaboration: Plan and deliver engaging art instruction aligned with curriculum standards, fostering creativity and skill development in students. Collaborate within the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) framework with colleagues and special education staff to support student learning and coordinate instructional strategies.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students and families. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Data-Driven Progress: Assess and monitor student academic and behavioral progress through ongoing data collection. Use assessment results to inform instructional decisions, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to support student growth in the arts.
- Student Support: Support and monitor student progress toward IEP goals as applicable, adpating art instruction and classroom practices to meet diverse learning needs and ensure student success.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Art, or related field
- Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license (or eligibility) in Art
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Knowledge of student development and health education best practices
