SUMMARY:
Individual is responsible for teaching all Art classes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:
- Prepare all course objectives and daily lesson plans.
- Establish and enforce behavior guidelines in the classroom.
- Evaluates and counsels' students on work assignments.
- Works within the assigned group to evaluate materials and curriculum.
- Maintain professional attitude and demeanor.
- Oversee the girl's physical education program in accordance with school standards and Tribal policies and procedures.
- Upholds school standards and Tribal policies
EDUCATION:
- BAIBS Degree, CBEST, and appropriate California Teaching Credential
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years' experience in varied art Medias. Evidence of leadership skills in educational settings is preferred. Individual shall possess good report writing and lesson development skills. Experience working within the Native American cultural environment preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Have and maintain proficient classroom management skills
- Computer literate in the Windows environment
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with Administration, faculty, students, and Tribal personnel.
REQUIRED
- A current California Driver's License or California Identification
- All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearance and Drug Testing.
- Must be fingerprinted
- Must provide Official Transcripts
