Art Teacher

• Start Date 8/17/2026
• Grades K-2
• Teaches assigned classes using a curriculum that supports student introduction to various forms of art.
• Develops lessons that support core content instruction in conjunction with grade level colleagues.
• Develops a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes students enjoyment and knowledge of art
• Ensures instruction meets the individual needs and styles of the students.
• Provides students with additional assistance, as needed.
• Works with content area teachers to support instruction.
• Effectively communicates student progress and issues to parents and appropriate staff members.
• Oversees the use and care of school supplies and equipment.
• Prepares a classroom that provides students with a positive working environment.
• Works with other staff members to organize and oversee the District's annual Art Expo.
• Reports instances of suspected child abuse and/or neglect to law enforcement.
• Participates in professional growth activities.
• Complies with all District policies and procedures.
• Performs other functions as assigned.

Licensure:

• Visual Arts K-12, Elementary K-3, Elementary K-5, or Elementary K-8
