What We Offer:
Position Summary:
As an AI & ML Engineer, you'll design, deploy, and optimize machine learning systems that drive intelligent decision-making across the organization. You'll work at the intersection of data science, engineering, and product strategy-building models that are not only performant but also interpretable, scalable, and aligned with human oversight. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is passionate about shaping agentic, adaptive systems that balance automation with discernment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy supervised and unsupervised models using Python, MLflow, and Databricks
Collaborate on experimentation strategies, including A/B testing and causal inference
Optimize model performance for latency, accuracy, and cost across cloud environments
Contribute to the design of human-in-the-loop workflows and explainable AI systems
Partner with data engineers to ensure robust data access and preprocessing
Document model assumptions, limitations, and decision boundaries for transparency

Requirements
Minimum Education: High School or general equivalent
Minimum Experience: 3 years in data engineering or a closely related field
Preferred Experience: 5 years with hands on experience in Databricks or Spark based systems

Cumberland Farms is a privately owned family run business that has been around for almost sixty years with a corporate facility in Framingham, MA. We started back in the 50’s and through the years have grown to over 600 convenience stores ranging from Maine to Delaware as well as a group of stores in Florida.
In 2005, Cumberland Farms completed the acquisition of Gulf Oil LP and is now known as The Cumberland Gulf Group.
In May of 2009 Cumberland Farms and Gulf Oil moved into our new state-of-the-art business support campus in Framingham, Massachusetts. It is a beautiful, remarkable facility that will help lift both of these great companies to new heights for years to come.
