AGS is a fun, exciting, and growing company focused on making amazing slot machine games. What is a slot machine game you ask? Well, it"s like a PS5 except people can win real money.

We are looking for a self-motivated person who enjoys the complexities and trade-offs of working in a multidisciplinary creative environment. If you love making games and making them with other amazing people, then we want to meet you.

This is a part-time, working 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) and requires your presence in our office in Macquarie Park NSW.

Maternity leave cover role which will be offered as 12-month contract, commencing in September.

The Artist will work as part of a team of Artists & Sound Designers that drive the game asset creation & development of our products. The position is responsible for creating art concepts & graphical assets and to work both independently and collaboratively in delivering artwork for quality games.

Key Responsibilities.

• Making games with a diverse team of Game Designers, Artists, Sound Designers and Engineers.

• Creating graphic compositions, logos, symbol illustrations, menus, UIs and buttons.

• Brainstorming and conceptualizing ideas (producing concept sketches and quick concept edits).

• Working with Game Designers and Artists to implement the team"s vision of the game.

• Collaborating with art team regarding best practices and processes relating to game development.

• Contributing to process improvements to increase productivity and the visual quality of the games.

• Keeping abreast of new graphic techniques, trends, and styles in the industry.

Skills/Requirements

• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.

• 2+ years of professional experience in a related field.

• Skills with Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Animation and Alienbrain experience is a plus.

• Excellent knowledge of design basics (lighting, composition, perspective, texturing, colors, etc.)

• Ability to create art and animation for all game aspects (screen layout, symbol sets, etc.) with minimal guidance.

• Understand how to design art for various themes and platforms.

• Strong work ethics and professionalism.

• Ability to complete assigned tasks on time.

• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.

• Strong customer focused mind.

• Follow guidelines and directions from the Art Director.

• Have previous slot gaming industry experience.

• Have traditional 2D animation experience.

• Have experience using AI software.

• Have experience using 3D software package.

• Have excellent communication skills and organizational skills.

• Can take and give constructive feedback.

• Have previous gaming industry experience.

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible in the ever-changing environment of a fast-growing company.

• Be self-motivated and proactive to get job done.
