We are seeking a skilled developer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and development of business-critical applications on the AS/400 platform. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems and the ability to integrate them with modern technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8-10 years of experience with AS/400, COBOL, DB2, RPG/RPGLE, SQL, IBM iSeries.
Deep understanding of DB2 databases, including data modeling and SQL performance tuning on the iSeries platform.
Extensive experience in analyzing, debugging, and resolving complex batch processing and interactive application issues.
Experience in continuous integration/deployment processes specific to the IBM i environment.
Knowledge of Agile principles with experience in Scrum or Kanban.
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and modernization teams.
Proficiency in standard MS Office tools.
Familiarity with general office machines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and support AS/400 COBOL and RPG-based applications.
Troubleshoot and tune advanced SQL performance issues.
Integrate AS/400 applications with modern distributed systems.
