AS400 Developer

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on AS400 (IBM i platform)

• Write and optimize programs using RPG (RPGLE / ILE RPG / Free Format RPG)

• Design and manage DB2/400 databases, including queries and stored procedures

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning

• Work on system integration with external applications and APIs

• Support production systems and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

• Create and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• • 6-12 years of hands-on experience in AS400 development

  • Strong proficiency in:

    • RPGLE / ILE RPG / CL programming

    • DB2/400 (SQL, Queries, Stored Procedures)

    • DDS (Display, Printer, Physical, Logical files)

  • Experience with embedded SQL

  • Knowledge of AS400 system architecture and job control

  • Familiarity with debugging tools and performance tuning

  • Experience with version control tools and development lifecycle

  • Strong problem-solving
