Lead Quality Systems That Power Advanced Manufacturing

At Re:Build Manufacturing – New Kensington (PA), you’ll be the architect and steward of a site-wide Quality Management System that meets rigorous AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. If you relish building systems that delight OEMs, pass audits with confidence, and enable teams to launch complex products right the first time, this is your platform.

A day in the role

It’s 8:30 a.m. and you’re reviewing a supplier notification alongside Engineering, translating it into a targeted APQP action. By noon, you’re mentoring a Quality Engineer through an A3 to eliminate a recurring defect. Mid-afternoon, you’re walking the floor, reinforcing 5S and Lean discipline with Calibration and Test Techs. You close the day aligning documentation for an upcoming customer audit, knowing your QMS is audit-ready, every day.

What impact you’ll make

• Own and evolve our AS9100/ISO 9001 QMS—from supplier quality through final inspection—ensuring compliance, alignment to customer/OEM requirements, and long-term satisfaction.
• Stand up, refine, and monitor quality documentation and records in partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
• Lead a high-performing Production Quality Team (Quality Engineers, Quality Specialists, Calibration and Test Technicians, and Inspectors); hire, train, coach, and develop talent.
• Plan and manage the audit calendar; serve as the primary interface for customer quality audits, third‑party assessments, and internal audits.
• Drive launch readiness and program quality planning for new products with cross‑functional teams.
• Facilitate structured problem solving (A3, 5‑Why, Fishbone) and sustain continuous improvement.
• Champion a safe workplace and embed 5S and Lean thinking across the site.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years leading/coaching Lean methodologies, including facilitating kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
• Background in a core engineering environment; familiarity with the Toyota Production System preferred.
• Six Sigma tools experience: data analysis, process control, Pareto, scatter diagrams, FMEA, and control charts.
• Strong reader of business/technical materials (journals, procedures, regulations) and clear writer of reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Comfort presenting to and fielding questions from managers, supervisors, and employees.
