This position is ~1hr/day for 180 days per year.
This is a combined role that includes two stipends.
- ASB Advisor: Annual stipend of $2,890 (based on the 2025-2026 stipend schedule).
- Activities Coordinator: Annual stipend of $2,892.

JOB DESCRIPTION - HIGH SCHOOL ASB ADVISOR
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ASB advisor works directly with students in clubs and the student council on a day-to-day basis, supervising the activities of the student council and the clubs and serving as a link from the student council and the clubs to the ASB bookkeeper and the principal/school administrator.
Reports to and evaluated by: High School Principal or Designee
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The ASB Advisor provides students with guidance in student government operations and supervises their activities.
- Oversee ASB meetings.
- Ensure that the clubs are meeting and keeping minutes.
- Ensure that every organized club has a constitution in place and follows it.
- Oversee the election/selection of officers and committee chairs, as well as ensuring that they understand and carry out their duties.
- Provide supervision to ensure student safety and compliance during ASB activities.
- Oversee all student activities and events.
- Develop yearly activity calendar and communicate with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead all pep rallies and assemblies.
- Oversee Class Competitions.
- Meet regularly with Administrative staff to coordinate and articulate ASB events.
- Supervise and be responsible for activities such as, but not limited to: Homecoming, Dances, Spirit Week, etc.
- Ensure all flyers and posters are approved by administration prior to being posted.
- Direct responsibility for ASB Budget, bookkeeping procedures and protocol.
- When any ASB organization or club holds fundraising events, the ASB advisor is responsible for ensuring that adequate planning and internal controls are established and that all of the funds are properly accounted for and given to the ASB bookkeeper with all the necessary paperwork at the end of the event.
- Train advisors on financial procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of how ASBs operate so legal responsibilities are understood.
- Review with the students all budgets, financial reports and transactions.
- Work with the students when preparing the annual budget and revenue projection estimates for fundraisers.
- Ensure that only valid expenditures are made and authorized from the different clubs' funds.
- Ensure that proper cash control procedures are established and followed at all times.
- Report any suspected fraud or abuse to the district's business office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Washington State teaching certification or ability to receive certification.
- Activities experience at the Secondary Level preferred.
- Two years of successful teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with ability to receive Type II driving endorsement.
- Ability to effectively supervise a wide range of people, including students and volunteers.
- Successful experience in all areas of fiscal management, including ASB budgets, or willingness to be trained.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain solid follow-through in a timely fashion.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, community members and the media.
- Ability to design programs which will motivate students academically.

JOB DESCRIPTION - HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the extra-curricular activities offered at Bremerton High School to include: ASB, Student Government, and Leadership Classes. This position will work with the Athletic Director on ASB programs and budgets.
Reports to and evaluated by: High School Principal or Designee
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all non-athletic extra-curricular activities and related student events
- Advise student government organizations; supervise the campaign and election of class, club, and student government officers
- Provide faculty with regular, clear and pertinent information about student programs and events
- Help to promote a positive school climate and school spirit through innovative, safe, and age appropriate activities
- Supervise and coordinate all financial matters pertaining to student accounts
- Coordinate staff and administrator supervision of dances and school selected events
- Facilitate ongoing communication with parents, boosters, and community groups regarding events and activities
- Assist in the orientation of students to promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere
- Oversees fund-raising activities
- Aid in the preparation of a duty roster of faculty assignments to all non-athletic extra-curricular activities
- Coordinate technical details and supervision of events
- Attend all major non-athletic school events and assist club advisors with their duties
- Coordinate all student government meetings and advise their proceedings
- Supervise the preparation and maintenance of selected student body accounts
- Advise Clubs and organizations in preparing and maintaining budgets
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
