Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Asbestos Remover to join our environmental safety team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely removing and handling asbestos-containing materials in accordance with strict regulatory standards. Your expertise will help ensure safe environments for both clients and workers, while maintaining compliance with all environmental and hazardous materials regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to health and safety initiatives through precise asbestos abatement procedures and environmental compliance practices.DutiesPerform asbestos inspection assessments to identify hazardous materials in various building structures.Execute asbestos removal and abatement processes using appropriate hand tools, specialized equipment, and decontamination procedures.Follow OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling safety protocols during all phases of asbestos removal.Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and protective suits to ensure safety during hazardous materials handling.Conduct asbestos decontamination procedures post-removal to prevent cross-contamination and environmental impact.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental compliance standards throughout all operations.Assist in demolition, restoration, or mold remediation projects as needed, supporting comprehensive environmental safety efforts.QualificationsProven experience in asbestos abatement, hazardous materials handling, or related construction environments.Completion of asbestos abatement training programs and certifications required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.Knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulatory compliance, and hazardous materials regulations.Skilled in the use of hand tools, respiratory protection equipment, and other safety gear necessary for hazardous material removal.Familiarity with asbestos inspection techniques and asbestos decontamination procedures.Strong understanding of environmental compliance requirements related to hazardous materials management.Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and implement proper hazard mitigation strategies effectively.Join our team to make a meaningful impact on public health by ensuring safe removal of hazardous materials!
