HOW YOU''LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Administrator, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Job Summary:

  • Directs daily operations in the Center for Cardiac and Vascular Intervention (CCVI).

  • Solves problems; recommends sound solutions.
  • Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
  • Responsible for the CCVI's overall management and strategy.
  • Optimizes conditions for patients and physicians.
  • Maintains a continuous quality assessment and performance improvement program.
  • Manages risks to the CCVI.
  • Ensures the CCVI complies with applicable laws and non-accreditation regulations, standards, etc.

Reports:

  • System ASC Administrator

Supervises:

  • Non-Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) employees (e.g., nursing leaders and staff members).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • Associate degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years of perioperative registered nursing experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
  • Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC) within twelve (12) months post hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the CCNE or the ACEN.
  • Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC).
  • Full understanding of accreditation standards, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards, and Agency for Healthcare Administrations (AHCA) rules.
  • Thorough knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Knowledge of perioperative care.
  • Knowledge of patient rights.
  • Familiarity with the basic nursing performance standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
