ASC Coordinator
Location: Lake Sumter Landing
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented ASC Coordinator to support the operational and patient coordination functions of our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless experience for patients, providers, and care teams from surgical scheduling through post-operative follow-up. The ASC Coordinator serves as a key liaison across departments and helps maintain efficient workflow, accurate documentation, and a high standard of service throughout the surgical process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate surgery schedules for providers and maintain an accurate daily surgery schedule
- Communicate with surgical patients regarding scheduling details, registration requirements, and financial responsibility
- Support and assist in the preparation and completion of surgery charts prior to the date of service
- Support pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and consent preparation
- Partner with clinic and ASC teams to ensure continuity of care and efficient patient flow
- Review schedules daily and communicate add-ons, updates, and special requests appropriately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical office experience required
- Surgical scheduling experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of insurance, registration, and patient coordination processes preferred
