At NorthBay Healthcare the Procedural Technologist is responsible for the delivery of patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional nurse. The Procedural Technologist works as a team member with the primary function as the "scrub person" in the surgical suite and other clinical areas. The technologist may be assigned other functions as permitted by the hospital policy.

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.

Education:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Graduate of Approved Surgical Technologist program preferred.

Licensure:

  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS certification required.

Experience:

  • Minimum six months ambulatory surgery center or acute care experience as a Procedural Technologist preferred.

Skills:

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, safe use and care of procedural instruments and equipment, knowledge of various procedures.
  • Basic windows computer skills required.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Good communication skills; works as a team member.
  • Actively engages in and supports a culture based on NorthBay Way principles.
