ASC Staff Nurse

TheRegistered Staff Nurseplays a pivotal role inproviding exceptional support to our patients, physicians, and office staff.We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented nursewho can support patients, physicians, and office staff while contributing to the effective functioning of our medical practice.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with healthcareproviders to coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up appointments.Serve as liaison between patients,physicians,and office staff.

• Triages patients,including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting patient complaints andconcerns asneeded under the direction of physicians.

• Administermedications and injections asphysicians prescribe, ensuring accurate dosage and patient understanding of medicationregimens,processing medication requests in a timely manner.

• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during medical procedures and examinations, including but notlimited tocatheter placements, injections,post-operative care, etc. 

• Maintainaccurate and up-to-date patient recordsthrough dailychartreviews that includemedicalhistories, treatment plans,lab orders,and progress notes, adhering to all confidentiality and privacy regulations.

• Provide patients with information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, self-care instructions; andensurethatphone messages are responded to in a timely manner.

• Maintains all medical equipment, verifying that routine and periodic maintenance procedures are performed and logged for all corporate locations.

Qualifications:

• BSN or AA in Nursing.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurserequired and will be verified prior to and throughout employment.

• BLS requiredand will be verified prior to and throughout employment.

• CPR and ACLS certificationand will be verified prior to and throughout employment.

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a general operating room.

• Previous Urology experience preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)systems.

• Clinical assessment proficiency.

• Multitasking and proactive problem-solving.

• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Travel:

• 25% travel requiredto othersites as necessary within ageographic region.

Physical Requirements for the Job:

• Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods. 

• Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.  

• Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. 

• May be required to help to transfer the patient. 

• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
