- ASD Pre-School/Kindergarten Teacher (ZS) or (ZA) AND ASD certification
- Grant Funded

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher Certification
- Appropriate Special Education Endorsement and ZA (early childhood) OR (ZS) certification AND Autism Spectrum Disorder SV
- Experience with Special Education population required
- Center based experience preferred
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
- Must meet MCL 380.1531 & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers
Other requirements as determined by the Lincoln Park Board of Education
DUTIES:
- Assessing, teaching, and modifying instruction and curricula for students
- Adapting, accommodating, and modifying the general education curricula, pedagogy, and learning environments for students
- Aligning and adapting the student's program with the general education curriculum
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized behavior management strategies and plans. Must prepare and implement behavior plans.
- Using a range of curriculum guides to assist with identifying functional goals.
- Employing current assessment instruments and approaches, intervention methodologies, strategies, and techniques that are appropriate
- Ability to complete records in a timely manner
- Responsible for case management of MET, IEP, and other compliance requirements
- Possess skills to communicate to all members of the school & community
- Be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position
- Philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools
- Able to work cooperatively
- Ability to follow requirements of supervisors
- Classroom instruction and instructional leader for meeting the needs of students
- Other duties as required by Executive Director of Special Services
