Job Title: Aseptic Lab Technician

Location: Fairfield, NJ

The Aseptic Lab Technician plays a key role in supporting cleanroom operations, sterile processing, and aseptic workflows. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing glassware and medical components, executing aseptic techniques, and maintaining a controlled ISO‑6/7 cleanroom environment. The technician will monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, uphold strict safety and documentation standards, and contribute to a culture of quality and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Glassware & Component Preparation - Clean and process glassware and medical components using designated equipment.
  • Cleanroom Operations - Work in ISO‑6 and ISO‑7 classified environments while fully gowned in aseptic PPE.
  • Aseptic Technique - Perform aseptic cleaning, maintain aseptic samples, and support contamination‑control activities.
  • Equipment Monitoring - Observe process systems and equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Preventative Maintenance - Complete daily and weekly PM tasks; assist maintenance teams when needed.
  • Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety rules, participate in safety committees, and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
  • Documentation - Accurately complete batch records, logs, and all required documentation in accordance with GDP.
  • Sanitization - Clean, sanitize, and disinfect workstations before and after use.
  • Cross‑Functional Support - Perform additional tasks or processes based on client or project needs.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Aseptic Techniques and sterilization experience.
  • 1-2 years of industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, or related fields.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience working with paper‑based batch records.
  • Understanding of cGMP, SOPs, and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sterile Processing or pharmaceutical operations experience.
  • Familiarity with document control systems.
  • Clear, legible handwriting for batch record review.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in ISO‑6 and ISO‑7 cleanroom environments.
  • Must be able to gown and remain in full PPE for 6-10 hours with scheduled breaks.
  • Standard shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
