HealthPartners and Regions Hospital is seeking an ASL Interpreter to provide interpreting services both in-person and for Video Visits. Interpreter must hold certification as outlined within the job description. Qualified candidates will have experience interpreting in a health care setting and can help meet unique communication needs across the patient population, including experience in mental health interpreting as well as providing tactile, DeafBlind interpreting. Strong candidates will be able to work both independently and as part of team, when needed. Interpreting for video visits may be a part of this role as well, but focus will mostly be on in-person interpreting. May be asked to interpret in the clinical setting as well as within the hospital.

Work Schedule:

1.0 FTE

Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • 4 years interpreting experience with at least 3 years medical interpreting experience.

  • Active certification through the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID): NIC, CI, CT, CSC, IC, TC or National Association of the Deaf (NAD): Level IV/V (full complement of CEUs must be submitted to RID by October 1 during the last year of the 4-year cycle).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Nationally Accredited Interpreter Training Program. Some general college preferred.
