The role involves performing manual tasks for street maintenance and repair, including asphalt and concrete work such as pothole patching, crack sealing, shoulder repairs, and roadway leveling. Employees operate various tools and equipment like jackhammers, saws, dump trucks, and asphalt pavers, and may supervise others.
Work is outdoors in all weather conditions, including trenches and manholes, with exposure to noise, hazards, fumes, and chemicals. The position requires physical stamina, including lifting and manual labor, and the ability to follow instructions and interpret maps.
