Asphalt ForemanAuburn, WA | Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead day-to-day field operations for asphalt paving, concrete, and civil construction projects throughout the Puget Sound area.
This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who knows how to run a crew, coordinate equipment and materials, work with subcontractors, communicate with customers and inspectors, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
The work includes asphalt paving and repair, concrete work, civil/site construction, drainage, ADA improvements, and commercial renovation/TI projects.
The right person should be comfortable taking ownership of a jobsite and making practical field decisions while maintaining productivity, quality, safety, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise asphalt paving and construction crews on active jobsites.
- Manage daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, trucking, equipment, materials, and deliveries.
- Review project plans, scopes, schedules, and job requirements before work begins.
- Direct daily production and make field decisions to keep work moving efficiently.
- Coordinate asphalt paving, concrete, civil/site work, drainage, and ADA-related construction activities.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure completed work meets project and company quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Identify jobsite issues early and communicate changes, additional work, or potential delays.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
- Ensure appropriate traffic and pedestrian control is maintained.
- Track project progress, labor, materials, equipment, and daily production.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, takeoffs, and estimating when needed.
- Work closely with management to improve field production and overall project execution.
What We're Looking For- Proven experience as an Asphalt Foreman, Paving Foreman, General Foreman, Construction Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with asphalt paving and repair.
- Experience supervising construction crews and coordinating field activities.
- Ability to coordinate equipment, trucking, materials, and subcontractors.
- Ability to read construction plans and understand project scopes.
- Experience with concrete and/or civil/site construction is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, inspectors, contractors, and crew members.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage changing field conditions while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
- Estimating or takeoff experience is a plus.
- Commercial tenant improvement/renovation experience is a plus.
