See the Bettis Companies in actionhere.Asphalt Paver OperatorThis is a traveling positionPrimary FunctionThe Asphalt Paver Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. Asphalt Paver Operators will work with GPS systems including Leica and Trimble. The Asphalt Paver Operator must also complete prestart checks assist with fluid checks and maintenance securing the equipment cleaning and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Manager.Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy as well as manufacturers guidelines.• Performing daily maintenance & safety checks.• Cleaning equipment as required.• Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.• Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.• Upholds acceptable attendance.• Is a productive team member that supports the team by going and assisting where needed.• Complies with all applicable safety environment health and waste management policies and procedures.• Ability to handle a great deal of stress over long periods of time.
