Now Hiring: Asphalt Plant Quality Control Technician
Job Summary:
C.R. Jackson is looking for a Quality Control (QC) Technician. The QC Tech is responsible for testing materials, monitoring production quality, and ensuring asphalt meets project and state specifications. This role is essential in delivering safe, durable, and high-quality roads for our communities.
What You'll Do:
Test asphalt and other materials in the lab and in the field
Monitor plant production to make sure quality stays high
Take asphalt samples and check density with core tests
Keep good records and fill out quality reports
Work with plant crews, inspectors, and supervisors to solve problems
Always follow safety rules and wear your PPE
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in asphalt testing (preferred)
Strong math skills
HMA Level 1 and Asphalt Roadway Tech certifications (or willing to get them)
Valid driver's license with a clean record
Can work outside in all weather
Pays attention to detail and can work alone or with a team
Willingness to work weekends and/or nights, is required
