We are seeking individuals to serve as AmeriCorps members who will support the program as Community Liaisons. The Community Liaison will be responsible for connecting with parents and the larger school community to recognize areas of need and tap into resources to meet those needs. During the day they will support and work with the School Community Liaison to identify the welfare needs of families, provide access to resources and services, and grow ties to area agencies/businesses to support community well-being. 1. Performance as an AmeriCorps Member -Serve productively and effectively across service environments and adhere to program Policies and Procedures - Meet monthly service hour benchmarks -Demonstrate the ability to balance service activities 2. Teamwork with Colleagues at school and other events - Demonstrate professional behavior - Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and serve cooperatively - Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to resolve conflicts 3. Performance as an ASPIRE Community Liaison - Implement service as per planning with supervisor - Use appropriate language with students - Follow Supervisor recommendations for community connection. - Maintain electronic records accurately - Maintain paper records accurately 4. Professional Conduct -Maintain a professional appearance and wear the AmeriCorps logo daily, follow site dress code policies - Sign in by 8:00am and adhere to daily schedule - Complete weekly time sheets by Monday at 8:00am - Follow standard protocol for tardy, absences, and early campus departure. Consistent daily attendance - Adhere to all codes of conduct or related Policies and Procedures of Sewa International, the school and community partners. 5. Additional Responsibilities - Support school district summer schools and/or community partners during the month of June Serve through the end of the contract period, regardless of the number of service hours accrued. Member Duties : AmeriCorps volunteers serve a minimum of 1200 hours with an minimum of 33 hours per week for 10 months from August 2026 to June 2027. Community liaisons will meet students and tutors at least once a week to facilitate group activities. They will also help with food distribution services by connecting with businesses to facilitate a food pantry and help fellow AmeriCorps members identify community needs to create a service project.
