Job Title: Radiology Call Center Representative

Contract to Hire: 3 Months
Location: Optum – 100 South Bedford Road, Mount Kisco, NY 10549
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview:
The Radiology Call Center Representative plays a critical role in supporting patient care by coordinating and scheduling radiology exams. This position operates within a high-volume contact center environment, ensuring timely and accurate appointment scheduling while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Team Environment:
This role is part of a Radiology Contact Center team, working alongside inbound schedulers and additional call center staff responsible for managing incoming patient calls. The team operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on delivering efficient and patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls (approximately 65–75+ calls daily)

  • Schedule radiology appointments and procedures accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain continuity of care by managing scheduling and tracking systems across work queues

  • Collect and verify accurate patient information, including demographics and insurance details

  • Provide clear and professional communication to ensure patient understanding of procedures and appointments

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment

  • Adhere to all administrative policies and procedures to support quality patient care

  • Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations

  • Stay current on medical and organizational requirements relevant to the role

  • Attend all required company and departmental trainings

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and systems simultaneously

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume call center environment

Preferred:

  • Previous inbound call center or scheduling experience

  • Experience using Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Additional Information:

  • No professional license or certification required
