Job Title: Medical Receptionist – Radiology Contact Center
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: On-site
Department: Radiology Contact Center

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support our Radiology Contact Center. This role is primarily responsible for scheduling patients for pending radiology exams and assisting at the front desk as needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-call-volume healthcare environment and is committed to providing excellent patient service while ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities:
    • Handle an average of 65–75+ inbound calls per day in a high-volume contact center environment
    • Schedule radiology appointments and procedures accurately and efficiently
    • Monitor and maintain continuity of care using scheduling and tracking systems across all work queues
    • Obtain, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information (name, address, coverage, etc.)
    • Provide clear and effective communication to patients to ensure understanding of appointment details and next steps
    • Assist at the front desk as needed to support daily operations
    • Comply with all administrative policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA regulations
    • Stay current on medical and departmental requirements relevant to the role
    • Attend all required departmental trainings
    Qualifications & Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (medical office, hospital, or contact center)
    • At least 1 year of experience handling high-volume inbound calls, preferably in healthcare
    • Minimum 1 year of experience communicating appointment details and gathering patient information with accuracy and empathy
    • Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements
