Job Title: Assembler 1, General
Duration: 12 + months (Possible extension)
Address: Sumter South Carolina 29153
Payrate: $17.00 per hr. on W2
Shift timing: 8 pm to 8 am
- Pay Rate: $15.50/hour and Shift Differential: $1.50/hour
- Schedule: 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
- Work Schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
- Footwear: Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes are required.
Job Requirements
- Candidates with previous work experience in a manufacturing environment will be given first preference.
- Must pass an eye exam before starting. The eye exam is required contingent upon hire.
- Must have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or successfully complete a color vision exam.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills at a level that co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to use basic measurement tools, such as microscopes.
- Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others and function effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices.
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment.
- Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods.
- Adhere to established quality guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to lift or move at least 50 pounds.
