Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Mechanical/Electrical Assembler I to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components using hand and power tools while following engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and quality standards. Candidates must have prior assembly experience and be committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Note: All candidates must successfully complete an in-person assembly assessment during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of mechanical and electrical components using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install electrical components including switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
  • Verify dimensional specifications, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts.
  • Perform basic mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper fit and operation.
  • Conduct operating tests according to product checklists.
  • Use measuring and assembly tools including feeler gauges, arbor presses, hand tools (manual, pneumatic, and battery-powered), and hand trucks.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct assembly discrepancies or defects.
  • Document assembly activities, production data, test results, and quality concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following safety procedures and 6S principles.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience required.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly experience required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Electrical Schematics
  • Blueprint Reading
