Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician for our Custom Manufacturing client in Fountain, CO.

Pay Range: $17.00 – $23.00 / hour
Shift Opportunities:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
This company uses high-purity resins to create specialized linings and components for the aerospace, oil, and other industries. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone with previous experience working with hand tools, mechanical assembly, bonding, fabrication, and quality inspection in a production or manufacturing environment.
The Assembly Technician will use a variety of hand and power tools to trim, route, drill, rivet, bond, and weld thermoplastic parts according to blueprints, customer specifications, and traveler requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing or assembly experience and be comfortable working independently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties
- Set up and operate minor production equipment and tooling when required to complete parts or assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, travelers, and customer specifications.
- Use a variety of measuring and inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.
- Perform trimming, routing, drilling, riveting, bonding, and other assembly processes.
- Work with adhesives, rivets, nut plates, fasteners, Nomex, foam, and other manufacturing materials.
- Apply part seal coating, including measuring and mixing materials, application, curing, and inspection.
- Perform bonding operations, including mixing and applying adhesives, properly using bonding fixtures, curing, and making necessary repairs.
- Identify quality issues and make appropriate adjustments or corrections within established procedures.
- Work cooperatively and efficiently with team members while maintaining production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain production equipment and operate necessary tools and machinery.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Accurately record production and quality data.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Demonstrate proper use and care of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- Participate in plastic welding training and obtain certification as required.
- Follow established procedures and communicate production or quality concerns to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, aerospace, plastics, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience using hand tools and power tools in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working from blueprints, drawings, work instructions, or detailed specifications.
- Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment.
- Experience with adhesives, bonding, riveting, drilling, or similar assembly processes preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed manufacturing and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work with your hands for extended periods.
- Ability to work overtime as required by production needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with thermoplastics or plastic fabrication.
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience with plastic welding.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Experience working with production travelers and quality documentation.
