Job Description

The Assembler Associate II constructs multiple assemblies and sub-assemblies using basic math and drawings, automated equipment, and computer-based tools on the second shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). This non-exempt role supports production in a cleanroom environment, follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and contributes to quality and safety initiatives while meeting departmental performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Construct multiple assemblies and sub-assemblies for the assigned production area using drawings, work instructions, and basic math.
  • Operate automated equipment and use basic computer hardware and software to perform assembly tasks and document work.
  • Use testers, fixtures, and self-inspection methods to verify product quality and identify issues.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve assembly or equipment problems and ensure products meet specifications.
  • Perform soldering tasks as required for the functional area, following applicable procedures and quality standards.
  • Utilize information and instructions from sources outside the immediate work group to complete assignments accurately.
  • Participate in manufacturing or site focus teams, such as safety, GMP, or ESD teams, to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Demonstrate leadership by training peers, cross-training across tasks, and sharing best practices within the work group.
  • Persuade and positively influence peers and the work group to follow procedures, meet goals, and maintain high standards.
  • Operate within and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality Systems by following all documented procedures and controls.
  • Meet departmental goals for quality and productivity, ensuring accuracy and completeness of work.
  • Work in accordance with the organization’s Code of Conduct and maintain performance standards as communicated by the department.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in compliance with GMP and departmental requirements.
  • Work consistently on second shift, supporting production schedules and team objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production or assembly environments, including cleanroom assembly work.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and apply basic math to perform assembly tasks.
  • Proficiency using automated equipment and basic computer hardware and software in a production setting.
  • Ability to use testers, fixtures, and self-inspection methods to verify product quality.
  • Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve assembly or equipment issues.
  • Soldering skills applicable to the functional area, following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Strong documentation skills to complete records accurately and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to train peers and support cross-training.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive leadership within the work group and influence others to follow procedures and meet goals.
  • Commitment to working within established Quality Systems and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Ability to consistently work the second shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience participating in manufacturing or site focus teams such as safety, GMP, or ESD initiative.
  • Comfort working with multiple assemblies and sub-assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to adapt to information and direction from multiple sources outside the immediate work group.
  • Interest in developing leadership capabilities through peer training and cross-functional collaboration.

Work Environment

You follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records, supporting a highly regulated, safety-focused operation. The environment emphasizes adherence to codes of conduct, quality standards, and performance expectations, with a strong focus on cleanliness, organization, and compliance appropriate for cleanroom and manufacturing activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
