Job Title: Assembler
Location: Cromwell, CT 06416
Pay rate: $17.00 - $18.00/hr
Work schedule: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The Assembler is responsible for constructing components and piecing together parts for finished products, specifically focusing on industrial hand tools utilized across the utility and cable industries. Working in a collaborative team environment, this role requires working directly from structural assembly drawings and utilizing a variety of manual hand tools and specialized machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Assembly: Assemble high-quality parts and components for finished hand tools used in the utility and cable sectors.
Blueprint Translation: Read, interpret, and work accurately from technical assembly drawings and schematic layouts.
Tool & Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of manual hand tools, power tools, and production machinery during the build process.
Instructional Compliance: Strictly follow all verbal and written manufacturing instructions, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Supervisory Support: Perform alternative production, organizing, or housekeeping tasks as assigned by department supervision.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Technical Literacy: Proven ability to read, interpret, and follow mechanical assembly drawings and technical schematics.
Operational Essentials: Strong basic math skills (good with numbers) and strong memory retention to handle repetitive assembly configurations.
Language Skills: Full proficiency to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Interpersonal Skills: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work well and communicate productively with others on the line.
Reliability: A documented history of excellent personal attendance and punctuality.
Physical Demands & Environment
High manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to put small parts or pieces together accurately.
Physical capability to regularly lift, move, and maneuver objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
Education & Experience
Experience: Previous experience in mechanical assembly, production manufacturing, or warehouse environments is highly preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Term: Contract Assignment
