Pay rate:
- 1st Shift: $24.50/hr
- 2nd Shift: $25.50/hr ($24.50 base + $1.00 shift differential)
Work schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM CST (40.0 hours/week)
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM CST (10-Hour Shifts; 40.0 hours/week; mandatory/optional Saturday overtime from 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM as required; initial onboarding/training takes place on 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Temp-to-Hire / Right to Hire assignments across both shifts; 4 total positions open
Overview
The Electrical Assembler builds, inspects, and wires technical sub-assemblies and finished products at Hubbell's Fenton, MO facility. Working from work orders, routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production assembly drawings, this role executes precision electrical wiring, quality inspections (including 100% flange checks with feeler gauges), component threading/lubrication, and non-conforming material segregation. The assembler maintains clean work areas, tracks labor sequence against routings, and resolves technical assembly challenges alongside team leads and inspectors.
Job Specifications- Read routings, BOMs, and assembly drawings to obtain, verify, and build parts according to work order requirements
- Perform electrical wiring and manual assembly of electrical components and finished goods
- Conduct 100% visual and physical inspections on assembly parts (e.g., checking joint flanges with .0015 feeler gauges to max 1/8 depth, inspecting for porosity, torn threads, paint defects)
- Lubricate threaded areas, remove non-conforming material to designated quarantine areas, and report technical/tooling discrepancies to leads or supervisors
- Maintain clean work stations, return special tools and drawings upon job completion, and report labor time accurately against routing sequences
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Practical electrical wiring background and hands-on experience required
- Ability to read, interpret, and work directly from technical assembly drawings, schematics, and routings
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude required
- Physical capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and continuously lift up to 35 lbs throughout the shift
