Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable Assemblers to join a manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for the mechanical assembly of bearing components and finished products using presses, hand tools, torque tools, and testing equipment.
No previous bearing assembly experience is required. Training is provided, and employees will be cross-trained at multiple assembly stations. This is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined candidates who are detail-oriented and interested in developing hands-on manufacturing skills.
The position also offers a four-day regular workweek in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and product quality
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and specifications
Ability to read and follow work orders
Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment
Willingness to cross-train and work at multiple assembly stations
Ability to perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble bearing components and finished products according to specifications
Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions
Clean and prepare components before assembly
Assemble bearings using races, cages, rollers, balls, retainers, and seals
Install components in the proper sequence and orientation
Operate bearing press stations
Operate arbor presses and hydraulic presses
Use torque tools and other hand tools during assembly
Apply grease and lubricants according to production requirements
Operate spin and testing equipment
Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
Verify proper fit, clearance, and tolerances
Complete rework when required
Staple and secure packaging and materials
Rotate between multiple assembly stations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety and production procedures
Perform additional assembly duties as assigned
Bearing Assembly Responsibilities
Employees may work with components including:
Bearing races
Cages
Rollers
Balls
Retainers
Seals
Grease and lubricants
Other precision bearing components
No previous bearing-specific experience is required. Associates will receive training on the appropriate assembly procedures and equipment.

Basic hand tools
Spin-testing equipment
Assembly fixtures
Packaging equipment
Quality & Inspection Responsibilities
Inspect components before and during assembly
Verify completed bearings are assembled correctly
Check proper fit and component positioning
Verify required clearances and tolerances
Identify damaged or incorrect components
Perform rework when assemblies do not meet requirements
Maintain strong attention to detail throughout repetitive assembly processes
Preferred Qualifications
Previous mechanical assembly experience
Manufacturing or production experience
Experience using hand and torque tools
Blueprint-reading experience
Precision measurement experience
Mechanical, automotive, machining, or similar hands-on background
Experience operating presses or assembly equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift
Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly work
Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
Frequent bending, reaching, positioning, and material handling
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
Ability to safely operate presses, hand tools, and assembly equipment
Comfortable performing hands-on manufacturing work throughout a 10-hour shift
Work Environment
