AssemblerPay: $20–$21/hour
Location: Near Troy, NY
Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional overtime
Our well-established client is seeking a dependable Production Assembler to support the production of heavy-duty equipment used in municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications. This is a full-time, onsite role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision assembly, and being part of a collaborative shop-floor team.
Position Overview:
The Production Assembler is responsible for building high-quality fabricated components and finished units according to technical specifications and production schedules. This role supports products engineered to perform in demanding environments and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble sub-assemblies into complete units following standard operating procedures
- Install sealants and gaskets according to specifications and drawings
- Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions
- Perform minor part fitting using templates, jigs, and fixtures
- Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks
- Prepare materials using grinding wheels and chemical cleaners
- Perform product touch-ups to meet quality standards prior to shipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas; perform basic equipment and tool maintenance
- Move products using forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
- Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors
Skills & Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of assembly or fabrication experience
- Ability to read and analyze 2D CAD drawings
- Proficient with measuring tools and basic shop math
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Forklift operation experience
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to stand, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team
