Assembler Pay: $20–$21/hour Location: Near Troy, NY Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional overtime
Our well-established client is seeking a dependable Production Assembler to support the production of heavy-duty equipment used in municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications. This is a full-time, onsite role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision assembly, and being part of a collaborative shop-floor team.
Position Overview: The Production Assembler is responsible for building high-quality fabricated components and finished units according to technical specifications and production schedules. This role supports products engineered to perform in demanding environments and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble sub-assemblies into complete units following standard operating procedures
Install sealants and gaskets according to specifications and drawings
Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions
Perform minor part fitting using templates, jigs, and fixtures
Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks
Prepare materials using grinding wheels and chemical cleaners
Perform product touch-ups to meet quality standards prior to shipment
Maintain clean and organized work areas; perform basic equipment and tool maintenance
Move products using forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors
Skills & Qualifications
At least 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of assembly or fabrication experience
Ability to read and analyze 2D CAD drawings
Proficient with measuring tools and basic shop math
Experience using common hand and power tools
Forklift operation experience
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to stand, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
Willingness to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
Capable of working independently or as part of a team
