Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates with strong mechanical skills for assembler 2 positions at a manufacturing company in Danbury, CT. These are temp-to-hire positions.
The first shift is 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20.25 an hour.
The second shift is 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $22.25 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick necessary parts for production orders
- Assemble, check and package sub-components and finished products according to instruction and production order in a quality and schedule-minded fashion
- Execute special tasks within the assembly process
- Mount items necessary for fulfilling the assembly orders of sub-components and finished products
- Maintain order at the workplace
- Temporary assignments as floater in different assembly teams
- Perform computer and administrative work such as order printing, label creation, order confirmation and tracking
- Coordinate transport arrangements with shipping
- Prioritize and arrange production papers and pick list based on commitment level to customers
Job Requirements:
- Assembly and/or manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical skills
- Experience using hands tools, such as combination wrenches
- Able to work from schematics
- Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Forward thinking with good time management skills
- Able to operate manufacturing equipment and electronic test equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
