We are seeking a detail-oriented Fiber Optic Cable Technician to join our 2nd shift team. This position is responsible for assembling, testing, and finishing fiber optic cable assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble fiber optic cables by stripping, crimping, tinning, and cutting cables to precise lengths according to technical drawings and work instructions.
Perform fiber optic connectorization, including cleaning and polishing fiber ends using established procedures.
Operate specialized testing equipment to inspect and verify cable assemblies meet company and customer quality requirements.
Apply labels, rubber boots, protective components, and other finishing materials to completed cable assemblies.
Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the assembly and testing process.
Follow all company safety, quality, and production standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
Previous experience in fiber optic assembly, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision work.
Ability to follow detailed written instructions and technical drawings.
Comfortable working with small components and specialized tools/equipment.
Must be dependable and able to work the assigned 2nd shift schedule.
Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome to apply. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but are not required.
