You will work at a dedicated station on an assembly line, using hand and power tools to build high-quality air conditioning units for commercial buildings such as apartments, hospitals, and large facilities. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn new skills in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform repetitive mechanical assembly work at a designated station on the production line, following standardized procedures and work instructions.

+ Assemble large commercial air conditioning units and their components in a manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

+ Rotate between different workstations over time as assignments change based on customer and production needs.

+ Use hand tools and power tools daily to assemble, fasten, and secure parts and components.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and basic diagrams to understand assembly requirements once trained.

+ Assist in assembling different mechanical and electrical components inside and outside the units, including climbing into units as needed to complete internal assemblies.

+ Participate in safety training during the first week and adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures at all times.

+ Perform brazing, soldering, and operation of machines and presses after receiving proper training.

+ Hang and unhang parts and components as part of the assembly and production process.

+ Conduct quality checks and tests on units and components throughout the assembly process to ensure they meet specifications.

+ Support multiple rounds of testing on each unit before shipment to verify performance and reliability.

+ Identify and report any malfunctions, defects, or irregularities in parts, tools, equipment, or assembled units to the production supervisor promptly.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring tools and materials remain in their designated locations.

+ Collaborate with team members and lead technicians, following guidance and feedback to continuously improve performance and product quality.

+ Demonstrate flexibility by learning new tasks and responsibilities as training progresses and production requirements evolve.

Essential Skills

+ At least 6 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

+ Demonstrated physical capability to perform hands-on work, including bending, twisting, and climbing into large units to complete internal assemblies.

+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively (up to 44 times per shift), as shown in previous work history.

+ Comfort working inside large units when required, with no concerns about entering these spaces (not considered confined spaces under OSHA standards).

+ Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in mechanical assembly work.

+ Willingness to learn new skills and processes from the ground up, including brazing, soldering, machine operation, and blueprint reading.

+ Positive attitude and reliability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

+ Ability to stand and move around the facility for a large portion of the workday.

+ Basic comfort using hand tools and power tools in a production environment.

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1 year or more of assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

+ Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools in an assembly or mechanical role.

+ Electrical experience, including working with basic electrical components or conduit bending.

+ Strong mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills related to mechanical systems.

+ Experience working on an assembly line or in a station-based production environment.

+ Familiarity with reading or learning to read blueprints and basic technical drawings.

+ Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

+ Interest in learning brazing, soldering, and operating presses and other production machinery.
